Margaux, a New York City-based footwear brand, has collaborated with writer and multi-talented artist Aminatou Sow to create a holiday shoe collection. The brand, founded by Sarah Pierson and Alexa Buckley Roussel, sought to design the perfect party shoe that fits everyone, and Aminatou's personal experience with finding stylish, comfortable shoes in her size (12) inspired the collaboration. The collection, which includes flat, low-heeled, and ultra-walkable styles up to size 45, is a testament to Margaux's commitment to comfort and style in inclusive sizing. The launch event, held at the brand-new Belle Époque-inspired Bar Rêve in Brooklyn's Cobble Hill neighborhood, featured a range of caviar-topped potato croquettes, retro pigs in a blanket, and cocktails worthy of a Parisian salon. The night was filled with lush blooms, music, and dancing, with guests including Constance Wu, Busy Philipps, Merritt Wever, Hunter Abrams, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Willie Norris, and Kamyiis Mclean. Aminatou's passion for satins and animal print was reflected in the collection, and the event showcased the real-time test of wearability that passed with flying colors. The collaboration is a perfect example of how fashion and art can come together to create something special, and it's a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity.
